In this book Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck. He wrote a story about two men one named George and the other Lennie. These men had a dream of one day to have their own farm and to live off the fat of the land.George was the one in charge of the group he made all the decisions. Lennie liked him so much that he would do everything he was told because he didn't want to let George down. But in the end the love and trust for each other really made it hard to deal with Lennie's death.
In my opinion the theme of the book is that no matter who you are or what you have been through things can always be easier if you have someone to talk to. Being able to rely on someone when you don't know what to do in certain situations.Being able to talk to someone and share things with can make you feel less alone and feel as if you are wanted and needed by others.
I liked the book because it shows the friendship that two men can have for each other. They were like brothers they would watch each others backs and made sure that they both had work, food, and a warm place to stay. they even shared dreams together of owning their own land and being able to work and do what they wanted because in there mind that made them free men .I would recommend this book because it shows the respect and courage of two friends that will do anything for each other.
